CII Chhattisgarh Highlights Sector-Specific Growth Momentum in Union Budget 2026

Raipur : The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Chhattisgarh positively noted that the Union Budget 2026–27 outlines targeted policy interventions with measurable investments across agriculture, manufacturing, MSMEs, emerging technologies, and financial markets. The Budget’s emphasis on innovation, infrastructure creation, skilling, and capital accessibility is expected to strengthen industrial competitiveness and generate employment across sectors relevant to Chhattisgarh’s economy.
The Union Budget’s three-pronged approach towards building champion SMEs, including the proposed ₹10,000 crore SME Growth Fund and expansion of the Self-Reliant India Fund, will benefit MSMEs by improving access to growth capital and supporting scale expansion. The decision on mandating TReDS participation, strengthening credit guarantee coverage, linking GeM for faster financing, and enabling receivables-based securitisation will generate beneficial outcomes for MSME liquidity and working capital cycles
CII Chhattisgarh further noted that the Budget’s focus on skill development, including the announcement to train 1.5 lakh caregivers and strengthen workforce participation, alongside investments in design and creative industries through the proposed National Institute of Design for the Eastern Region and AVCG content creator labs, will benefit employment generation and emerging creative economy sectors.
“Measures to strengthen the fisheries value chain in coastal areas and the credit-linked subsidy programme for animal husbandry will generate beneficial outcomes for aquaculture, dairy infrastructure, and rural entrepreneurship. The encouragement of Livestock Farmer Producer Organisations will support collective marketing and improve price realisation.
Targeted support for high-value crops such as coconut, sandalwood, cashew, cocoa, and walnut cultivation is positive for boosting agri-diversification, exports, and processing-led rural employment, strengthening India’s plantation and food processing ecosystem”
