Chhattisgarh receives new express train service from Durg to Visakhapatnam
Vande Bharat trains will redefine time efficiency : Governor Shri Deka
Raipur : Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated 6 new Vande Bharat Express trains in the country. He flagged off these trains at a program organized in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. While Chhattisgarh also received Vande Bharat train from Durg to Visakhapatnam.
On this occasion, a grand program was organized at Raipur Railway Station in which Governor Shri Ramen Deka attended as the chief guest.
Governor Shri Deka said, “Vande Bharat Express, which runs at an average speed of 130 kilometers per hour, will cover the distance between Durg and Visakhapatnam in just 8 hours. At present other trains cover this distance in 11 hours, but Vande Bharat will set a new benchmark in saving our time. This train will not only make our journeys faster but will also be comfortable and convenient for the passengers,” said Deka.
It is a matter of pride that Vande Bharat Express is a completely domestically manufacture- symbolizes the spirit of “Make in India” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat”. Hence, India is not only adopting modern technology but also developing and promoting local manufacturing it country. It is a great example of technological advancement and India’s modern railway system, added Deka.
The Governor said that another golden chapter is being added to the history of our state. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, Vande Bharat train is being launched, which will write a new chapter of modernity and speed in the rail services of the country. This is not merely the launch of a train, but a powerful demonstration of our country’s progress and self-reliance.
Governor Shri Deka said that these trains will also make unprecedented contribution in the field of tourism, trade, medicine and education and boost local economy. New employment opportunities will be created in the areas related to railways, which will benefit the youth and will also give a new direction to the economic and socio-cultural exchange between Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh.
In the program, Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development Shri Tokhan Sahu said that this train will act as a bridge between Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh. This train will reduce travelling time from 12 to eight hours. An amount of more than Rs 20 thousand crore has been approved for the development of railways in Chhattisgarh.
Raipur MP Shri Brijmohan Agrawal said that Vande Bharat Express train is a significant gift for the people of Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Odisha. He said that the railways in Chhattisgarh are developing rapidly.
Deka boarded the Vande Bharat train, interacted with the passengers, and extended his congratulations and best wishes to them.
Durg MP Shri Vijay Baghel, MLA Shri Rajesh Munat, Shri Purandar Mishra, Shri Motilal Sahu, Shri Guru Khuswant Saheb, Shri Doman Lal Korsewada, Shri Gajendra Yadav, former MP Shri Sunil Soni, Mayor Shri Aijaz Dhebar and other public representatives, DRM of Railways, ADRM other officials and representatives of various organizations and dignitaries were present in large numbers in the program. DRM of Railway Division Raipur Shri Sanjeev Kumar expressed his gratitude in the program.
