CG cabinet : Concessional Land Allotment for IT Industry in Nava Raipur

Raipur : At the Cabinet Meeting held today at Mantralaya (Mahanadi Bhawan), under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, following important decisions were taken:

  1. Procurement and Distribution of Chickpeas under PDS Cabinet has decided that for families belonging to the Antyodaya and Priority categories residing in Scheduled Areas and Mada Pocket regions of the State, the required quantity of 2 kg chickpeas distributed every month under the Public Distribution System (PDS) will be procured by the State Civil Supplies Corporation through the NeML e-auction platform. This procurement will be carried out at a transaction/service charge of 0.25 percent or less, as approved for the financial year 2024–25.

In addition, the Cabinet has directed that beneficiaries who did not receive their quota of chickpeas between July 2025 and November 2025 must be provided the entitled quantity by December 2025.

  1. Concessional Land Allotment for IT Industry in Nava Raipur
    To encourage the establishment of Information Technology (IT/IITS) industries in Nava Raipur, the Cabinet has approved the allotment of a 90-acre land plot at a concessional premium rate. The decision aims to attract investment in the IT sector and accelerate industrial development.

With land being made available at concessional rates, private sector participation will increase, leading to the creation of new employment opportunities. This initiative is expected to give a significant boost to both technological and economic activities in Nava Raipur, while also supporting urban settlement and planned urbanisation.

The establishment of IT companies will further drive the development of essential infrastructure in the region, bringing both direct and indirect benefits to local residents.
