CSR-funded vehicle equipped with advanced life-saving features; rural regions to benefit from rapid medical response
Raipur, July 25, 2025 : In a significant step toward strengthening healthcare infrastructure in rural Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today flagged off a modern ambulance equipped with advanced medical facilities from the Camp Office premises in village Bagia, Jashpur district.
The ambulance, provided by Bank of India under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, is equipped with a Basic Life Support (BLS) system along with other modern features aimed at providing emergency medical assistance.
Primarily stationed in the Manora region, this ambulance will be available for use across the entire district based on need. Its deployment is expected to ensure swift emergency medical transportation, offering timely aid particularly in remote and rural areas where critically ill or accident victims often face delays in receiving care.
Speaking at the occasion, CM Sai reiterated his government’s unwavering commitment to delivering accessible and quality healthcare to every citizen. He said several strategic initiatives have been launched to reinforce medical infrastructure, especially in under-served areas. He highlighted that the establishment of a Medical College in Kunkuri, along with a 50-bed Maternity and Child Hospital, a Naturopathy and Physiotherapy Centre in Jashpur, and Government Nursing and Physiotherapy Colleges is already underway, and progressing steadily.
The event was attended by key dignitaries, including Vice President of Sarguja Development Authority and Pathalgaon MLA Smt. Gomti Sai, Jashpur MLA Smt. Raymuni Bhagat, District Panchayat President Shri Salik Sai, Vice President Shri Shaurya Pratap Singh Judev, Municipal Council President Shri Arvind Bhagat, Vice President Shri Yash Pratap Singh Judev, and Collector Shri Rohit Vyas, along with several public representatives, administrative officials, and eminent citizens.
The move reflects CM Sai’s visionary approach to decentralising healthcare access and ensuring that even the most remote villages receive timely medical support through well-equipped mobile units.
