Rural area artist carves Shri Ram Van Gaman Path – Lord Ram’s Journey on Chhattisgarh Map

Chief Minister appreciates Shri Nirala’s unique talent and awards him Rs 11,000

Ruchi Tiwari/Raipur : Amidst the diverse multitude of people gathered at Jandarshan Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai rewarded Rs 11000 to a Sarangarh-Bilaigarh based artist Shri Shiv Kumar Nirala, who showcased his remarkable artistic talent by carving Shri Ram’s Van Gaman Path- Lord Ram’s journey on Chhattisgarh Map.

Mr Nirala said that he had meticulously carved the path of Lord Shri Ram’s forest journey onto a map of Chhattisgarh, highlighting all the locations, where the Lord’s left his footprints in Chhattisgarh. The map also indicates distances and by road access between these sites. The Chief Minister honored Mr Nirala’s unique talent and presented him with a cheque.

With a lifelong passion for painting, Mr Nirala aimed to preserve Chhattisgarh’s cultural heritage through his art. He dedicated one and a half to two months to creating the map, often losing track of time and neglecting basic needs while engrossed in his work.

Expressing his desire to exhibit his art at Rajyotsav, Mr Nirala received immediate support from the Chief Minister, who instructed officials to provide him with a stall at the upcoming festival. Mr Nirala expressed his amazement at the opportunity to showcase his art in front of the Chief Minister and he was overjoyed with the recognition and support he received.
