Major relief from dilapidated school buildings; Students and Teachers express joy.

Raipur : The funds granted under District Mineral Foundation (DMF) have begun to prove beneficial for Korba district in chhattisgarh. Following the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the district administration has been actively initiating essential public welfare projects related to health and education using DMF resources. In this series of initiatives, Collector Shri Ajit Vasant has approved the construction of new school buildings by identifying dilapidated structures in remote rural areas of the district.

Administrative approval has been granted for the construction of over 60 new school buildings, additional classrooms, and renovation works from the DMF. Additionally, boundary walls for 10 primary health centers have been approved to enhance security based on the needs of the centers. Earlier in February, approval had already been granted for 88 new school buildings. The construction of new buildings to replace the dilapidated ones in remote areas will alleviate the difficulties faced by students and teachers alike. The approvals mainly include new primary school buildings (with the demolition of old structures). In some locations, buildings for secondary schools, additional classrooms, laboratory rooms, and renovation works have also been approved.

Students and Teachers Delighted with the Approval of New Buildings

The approval of new buildings to replace the dilapidated school structures by the district administration has brought joy to the students and teachers. One such school is the primary school in the remote village of Baigapara-Ghinara, under the Kartala development block. This primary school, which operates in a 38-year-old building with a sheet-covered roof, has 57 students across two classrooms. The school’s teacher, Mrs. Shashikala Rathia, expressed that a new school building was urgently needed. The news of the district administration approving a new building has been a source of happiness. The new building will provide relief not only to the students but also to the teaching staff.

Boundary Walls to Be Constructed at Primary Health Centers

As per the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the Collector has taken steps to further improve healthcare facilities in remote areas of the district by approving the construction of boundary walls and residential quarters at 23 primary health centers from the DMF. The construction of residential quarters within the primary health center premises will enable doctors and other staff to stay comfortably, while the boundary walls will ensure a sense of security for both patients and medical staff within the health centers.
