CM Vishnu Deo Sai Celebrates Janmashtami with Little ‘Bal Gopals’ at His Residence

Chief Minister’s residence comes alive with the playful innocence of children dressed as Radha and Krishna
Raipur, August 16, 2025/ Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai celebrated this year’s Janmashtami festival at his residence with young children from the Anganwadi centre at Byron Bazaar in Raipur. The little ones, dressed adorably as Radha and Krishna, filled the programme with charm through their playful innocence and colourful costumes.
At the Chief Minister’s residence in Raipur, Janmashtami was observed with joy and traditional devotion. The entire premises were decorated with flowers, vibrant lights and festive adornments, creating an atmosphere brimming with spirituality and celebration.
The highlight of the evening came when the children presented tableaux and episodes from Krishna Leela. Their innocence and expressive performances captivated everyone present. The residence echoed with laughter and cheer, as the children’s presence lit up the festivities.
CM Sai joined the children in offering prayers to Lord Krishna and sought blessings for the prosperity, happiness and continued progress of Chhattisgarh. “The life and leelas of Lord Krishna inspire us to follow dharma, uphold morality and fulfil our duties. With the faith and hard work of the people of Chhattisgarh, the state is progressing steadily. It is our resolve to draw inspiration from the teachings of Lord Krishna and take Chhattisgarh to new heights of justice, harmony and development,” he said. The Chief Minister personally distributed chocolates, educational material and prasad to all the children with affection.
CM Sai said such cultural and religious festivals not only keep traditions alive but also connect the younger generation with values and sanskars. He also extended warm greetings to the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami.
Among those present on the occasion were Chhattisgarh State Forest Development Corporation Chairman Ram Sevak Paikra, Chhattisgarh State Civil Supplies Corporation Chairman Sanjay Srivastava, Mitul Kothari, Sunil Pillai, officers and staff of the Chief Minister’s residence, along with other dignitaries.
