New Delhi : The Termite Threat: New Book Warns Against the Dangers of Unchecked Leftist Ideology

Abhijit Joag’s latest book, “TERMITES: How the Left is Destroying the World through Subversion”, offers a compelling critique of contemporary leftist movements. It examines how the distortion of social justice ideals and the subversion of cultural institutions, particularly through neo-Marxist strains such as Wokeism, are corroding the foundations of society.

Speaking at the launch event, Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi remarked that Leftism is not merely akin to termites but also functions like a drug-intoxicating and entrapping three generations in a delusional worldview. “It remains confined within its own ideological cocoon and refuses to engage with reality. Our battle is not just political, it is civilizational,” he said. Trivedi further added that Leftism has long masked itself in a deceptive intellectual camouflage since the 1970s, beginning with self-loathing, then fomenting dissent and eventual rebellion. “Yet this illusion is breaking,” he noted, citing turning points such as the Ram Mandir and Ram Setu movements. He emphasized that modern tools, including AI and other advanced technologies, will serve as vital instruments in this ideological struggle.

Rajeev Tuli, President of Suruchi Prakashan, observed, “The Left often claims that regardless of who holds political office, the system remains theirs. Even when not in power, their grip over institutions is evident.”

Echoing this sentiment, Panchjanya Editor Hitesh Shankar asserted that wherever Leftist ideology has taken root, it has hollowed out the host nation like termites. “This is an ideology that proclaims democracy while suppressing it through tyranny. It romanticizes blood-stained revolutions and silences dissent in the name of progress,” he said.

Sunil Deodhar, former BJP National Secretary and founder of My Home India, expressed grave concern over the enduring impact of Leftist ideologies in India. He described their legacy as one of anarchy, exploitation, and suppression. “States like West Bengal, Tripura, and Kerala stand as stark reminders of the wreckage left in the wake of Leftist rule,” he observed.

“Despite their lofty claims of social welfare and equity, Leftist regimes have consistently resulted in chaos, corruption, and human rights abuses,” Deodhar said. “The people of India deserve more than failed promises and ideological dogma.”

The event underscored the urgent need for a deeper, more honest discourse on the influence of Leftist ideologies and the path ahead. With its Marathi edition already through ten sold-out editions, Joag’s book is poised to fuel an ongoing national conversation.
