Commerce and Industry Minister reviewed the departmental work
Raipur, 02 September 2025/ State Commerce, Industry, and Public Enterprises Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Devangan reviewed the departmental work of the Commerce and Industry Department at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan on Tuesday afternoon. Minister Shri Devangan, while taking information about the establishment of industrial parks under CSIDC, took information about the construction of the state’s first plastic park being built at a cost of Rs 39 crore in Urla, Raipur and directed the officials to complete it by 30 October 2025. In the meeting, he directed to start the work of four new smart industrial areas in the state as soon as possible. These include village Siladehi Birra of Janjgir-Champa district, Gatwa, proposed pharmaceutical park in village Bijetla Nava Raipur of Rajnandgaon district and village Niyanar of Bastar district. While reviewing the work of Registrar and Firm Institutions, Minister Shri Dewangan expressed displeasure over the complaints related to the department and directed to resolve all the works within the time limit. Along with this, he strictly instructed to take action of suspension in case of complaints of money transactions. He directed the officers to start the work of new industries issued 92 investment letters soon.

Kamlesh Nandani Sahu, Registrar of Firms and Institutions Smt. Padmani Bhoi Sahu, Additional Director of Industries Department Shri Alok Trivedi, Praveen Shukla and Shri Santosh Bhagat along with field officers from various districts of the state were present in the meeting.
Complete the land transfer process for Aluminium Park in Korba soon. While taking information regarding the establishment of the proposed Aluminium Park in Korba, Industry Minister Shri Dewangan said that the production company has received approval in its board meeting to transfer the land of the closed former power plant to the Industry Department. The Minister directed the departmental officers to complete the land handover process soon and start work soon towards building the Aluminium Park. The Industry Minister said that Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has recently visited Japan and South Korea to promote industrial capital investment in Chhattisgarh and attract investors. This has given recognition to the industrial policy of the state at the global level. The state is moving towards becoming an investment hub. Shri Dewangan said that Chhattisgarh has become a favorite state for investors. Investors Summit has been organized in Raipur along with Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore. Through these summits, the state has received investment proposals worth Rs 6 lakh 65 thousand crore so far. He said that the new industrial policy of the state is creating a new industrial environment in the state. This will create employment opportunities for the youth of the state. After the implementation of the new Industrial Development Policy 2024-2030 of the state, a better industrial environment is being created in the state in a short time. The Industry Department has simplified the process by implementing a single window system.
Industry Minister Shri Dewangan, while reviewing the disposal of online applications for land allotment in the meeting, said that in cases where industries are not established within the stipulated time period, instructions were given to take action for land cancellation after notice and to closely examine the free-hold applications for non-commercial use. During the meeting, the progress of cases of grants, exemptions, concessions, recovery of outstanding land rent, progress of establishment of industrial parks, progress of industrial land allotment, land allotment in districts and pending joint site inspection were reviewed under the Industrial Development Policy. Apart from this, in the meeting, he reviewed the works of Prime Minister Employment Generation Work, Chief Minister Youth Self-Employment Generation Programme, Prime Minister Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises, Prime Minister Vishwakarma Skill Development Scheme, review of cases of various grant exemptions and concessions, State Investment Promotion Board, Steam Inspectorate.
