In 25 Years of Development, Chhattisgarh Has Set New Benchmarks in Every Sector: CM Vishnu Deo Sai

Raipur, August 16, 2025 : Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today attended the IBC 24 Swarn Sharda Scholarship programme held in Raipur, where he felicitated daughters from across the state who secured positions in the Class 12 merit list. He also presented them with financial assistance cheques.

Extending his best wishes, CM Sai said that hard work always leads to success. He advised the young women to carry out any responsibility entrusted to them in the future with complete dedication and honesty. He noted that the scholarship not only boosts the confidence of daughters but also provides them with financial support. “For talented children from poor families, this scholarship plays a crucial role in building their future and will greatly assist them in pursuing higher education,” he said.

Chief Minister Shri Sai recalled that before the formation of Chhattisgarh, the region had long lagged behind in the race for development. “It was through the efforts of revered Atalji that this state came into existence and its development journey began,” Sai said. He added that the government has now prepared a Vision Document to create a roadmap for a developed Chhattisgarh, which is being implemented at a rapid pace. “With the cooperation and participation of every citizen, we will realize the dream of a developed Chhattisgarh,” he stressed.

Highlighting the importance of education, CM Sai said it is the true mantra of development. “In the past 25 years, several national-level educational institutions have been established in the state. IIT, IIM, AIIMS, and more than 10 medical colleges are now operational. The dream of providing quality higher education to children of the state is becoming a reality,” he added.

CM Sai emphasized that, due to the rationalization decision, no school in the state is teacherless today. “In remote areas like Karregutta, where schools once remained locked, teachers are now present. We have addressed the imbalance in teacher distribution,” he said.

He further highlighted that Chhattisgarh is rich in mineral wealth and has immense potential for industrial growth. “As a result of the new industrial policy, in just one and a half years, we have received investment proposals worth more than ₹6.50 lakh crore. Employment generation has been given the highest priority in this policy. In the coming years, the youth will find employment opportunities matching their skills within the state itself and will no longer need to migrate,” the Chief Minister assured.

During the event, students also interacted with the Chief Minister. Priya Baghel from Gariaband asked a question about promoting sports talent. Responding, CM Sai said that through Khelo India Centres, the talents of the state’s players are being nurtured and they are being provided with international-level training. Similarly, Khushi Devangan asked a question related to technology and AI, to which the Chief Minister replied that technology-based education is being promoted in Chhattisgarh, and concrete steps have been taken in this direction.

At the programme, district toppers of Class 12 and students who secured a place in the state merit list were felicitated. On this occasion, IBC 24 Group Chairman Suresh Goyal, along with distinguished citizens, meritorious students from across the state, and their parents, were present in large numbers.
