CM Vishnu Deo Sai lays foundation for development projects worth 102 crore in Bemetara

CM Sai’s Vision: Chhattisgarh to Emerge as a Model State of India

Raipur, July 29, 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that the state government has taken several historic decisions over the past one and a half years, all aimed at comprehensive development and keeping public welfare as the highest priority. He expressed confidence that these decisive steps will soon establish Chhattisgarh as a model state for the rest of the country. CM Sai was addressing a massive public gathering at the stadium complex in Nagar Panchayat Dadhi, in Bemetara district on 28th July.

Reaffirming his government’s commitment, CM Sai said that most of the promises made to the people have been fulfilled in a very short time. He informed that as part of the dream of “Housing for All”, the state government has approved the construction of 18 lakh houses. Paddy is being procured from farmers at the support price of ₹3100 per quintal, and pending bonus payments of the last two years have also been disbursed.

He added that under the Mahatari Vandan Yojana, which aims to empower women, 70 lakh women in the state are receiving ₹1000 per month, marking a transformative initiative for social and economic upliftment. Likewise, Atal Seva Kendras have been established to digitally strengthen panchayats, enabling villagers to access citizen services at the grassroots level.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 48 development projects in Bemetara district worth ₹102 crore. These include the inauguration of 22 projects worth ₹35.76 crore and foundation laying of 26 projects worth ₹66.91 crore. He also announced ₹5 lakh each for CC road construction in 20 gram panchayats. At the event venue, CM Sai planted a sapling as a message for environmental awareness and visited exhibitions set up by various departments. He also distributed beneficiary-oriented materials to citizens under various schemes.

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, while speaking at the event, announced a major gift for Nagar Panchayat Dadhi—₹1.25 crore for the construction of a municipal office building. He emphasised that every scheme of the Chhattisgarh government is designed keeping villages, the poor, and farmers at the core, and uplifting these sections is the government’s topmost priority.

Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Dr. Raman Singh stated that the double-engine government in Chhattisgarh is committed to taking the state to new heights of development. He said that bringing positive change in the lives of villagers, the poor, farmers, women, and youth is the fundamental direction and vision of the present government.

Food Minister Dayaldas Baghel, MLA Dipesh Sahu, MLA Rohit Sahu, MLA Ishwar Sahu, and Chairman of the Rajak Development Board Prahlad Rajak, along with several other public representatives and dignitaries, were also present at the programme.
